Jesse Brown VA Medical Center- Indoor Air Quality Testing

Project Description

A survey was performed to determine the background levels of common indoor air quality parameters in response to occupants’ concerns about air quality following a flooding incident in a nearby room. In addition to common indoor air quality parameters, TEM air samples were taken to ensure no asbestos was released due to the burst pipe.

GSG’s scope of services included a visual inspection of the areas of concern; measured air samples for temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, volatile organic chemicals and airborne particulates; and collected air samples to determine the levels of airborne fungal spores and asbestos. GSG used this data to identify the areas of concern to ensure that there were no after-effects of the flooding.
